Diagnostic & interventional radiology

Radiology takes a preponderant role within the care chain. This dynamic specialty, which is under permanent technological evolution, can be subdivided in 2 entities:

  • Interventional radiology:

Traditional imaging is defined as the contribution of a radiology technique (radiography, scan, MRI or ultrasound) to the aim of obtaining a therapeutic effect (infiltration) or of carrying out an operation necessary to the therapeutic treatment of a patient (percutaneous introduction of puncture needles in a bioptic or drainage aim).
