Pneumology

Internal medicine specialty concerning the study of the respiratory system. Particularly the diagnosis and treatment of the diseases or defects of the lungs and the bronchus.

Pathologies treated

Pneumology takes an interest in people's environment, notably on a socio-professional and an allergological level. This represents a permanent involvement in long term care in case of chronic, and often disabling, diseases. We are present and active with innovative proposals in numerous areas, be it smoking, persistant asthma, chronic obstructive lung diseases, tuberculosis, preparation for influenza pandemic, respiratory rehabilitation, breathing troubles during sleep, all the expertise needed in bronchopulmonary or pleural cancerous diseases (born within it or in relation with other cancers), or the organisation and the evaluation of professional practices and accreditation.

Taking up on those stakes means securing reactivity and diversity and succeeding in the necessary concertation and transversality of our missions.

Consultations

The consultations are ensured by Drs LAMY, BON, PIROLLET and MARIA. They are practice associates, united around a common technical allowing them the realization of the necessary ambulatory diagnosis such as numeric pulmonary radiology, complete functional respiratory exploration, allergological tests or nocturnal respiratory polygraphy.

Care

Drs LAMY, BON, PIROLLET and MARIA organise check-ups or treatments as outpatient or in complete hospitalization within the establishment in a network with the attending physicians, the nursing staff, the other specialties and technical platforms surrounding them. As an example, pnemologists will take charge (in complete hospitalization or day care), after being oriented by the attending physicians, in the case of aggravated asthmas, COPD exacerbations, acute infectious bronchopnemopathies, allergic desensitizations, the surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, palliative care (etc.) of bronchopulmonary cancers.
