The surgeons

Urological surgery has existed at the Clinique Générale in Annecy for over fifty years.

Since July 2003, at a time of important and rapid development of surgical and medical technologies, the foremost concern of the Urology team members of the Clinique Générale is to avoid dissociating the patient from his illness by only offering him technical know-how.   

For several years now, in the frame of pluridisciplinar care, we have systematically proposed leading edge techniques accompanied with a recognized know-how, a reference in the areas of cancerology, of urinary calculus, prostate adenoma, of effort urinary incontinence and of the woman's pelvic prolapse. 

For the past ten years we have realised all our operations through video laparoscopy,  opencut surgery has now become the exception.

Consultation

In our concern for efficiency and to be as close as possible to our hospitalized patients all urology consultations take place at the clinic itself. 

You will be welcome by Pascale, the unit's secretary,  and taken into care by a nurse and an orderly specialized in urology.    

Our technical platform is high-performance as we have a consultation room, an endoscoopy room, a wound dressing room, an uro dynamic room and a radiology service at our disposal. These allow us to carry out a great number of examinations in a single appointment.

An emergency reception is on duty 24 hours a day, including on weekends.

Urology operating theater

A first operating room in which all the heavy surgery is carried out is equiped with the digital OR system. This system, which has been fitted jointly with our orthopedist colleagues, equips less than ten operating theater in France. It allows us to see, record and transmit our operations directly to our conference room but also to other centres.

A second operating room is dedicated to endoscopic surgery and to extra corporal lithotripsy.

Cancerology 

Urological cancerology is taken in charge at the Clinique Générale jointly with our oncolgy and radiotherapy colleagues.

We are permanently in contact with one another. A cancerology consultation unit has existed for five years now. It allows us to collate all our records with all our surgeon colleagues, but also radiologists and anatomical pathologists. Every meeting of the cancerology consultation unit gives the chance for a personalized presentation of each patient who will then receive a report of this meeting with precisions as to the details of the way his pathology will be taken in charge :
